Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) has renamed its Oelwein location the Northeast Iowa Community College Oelwein Center. The location was previously named the RAMS (Regional Academy for Math and Science) and Oelwein Center.
The Oelwein Center, located at 1400 Technology Drive, provides a wide array of services and resources for high school students, adult learners and businesses. Oelwein Center Director Terri Rubner and staff assist students with admissions, placement testing, financial aid, advising and registration.
Community members can study for and earn a High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) at the center through a combination of in-person and online classes. These classes are tuition-free, include progress checks and practice exams to prepare students for the High School Equivalency Test (HiSET).
In addition, the center provides continuing education and customized training for local businesses through the college’s Business and Community Solutions division. For more information about the Oelwein Center, visit .
