LINDEN STREET IMPROVEMENTS

PROJECT NO. 24-935

Public Hearing on Proposed Contract Documents and Estimated Costs for Improvement.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

You are hereby given notice that a public hearing will be held by the City Council of West Union on the proposed contract documents (plans, specifications and form of contract) and estimated cost for the improvement at its meeting at 6:00 P.M. on February 17, 2025, at City Hall, West Union, Iowa.

The description of the type of public improvement and its location are as follows:

Reconstruction of Linden Street, approximately 1,650 LF, from Iowa Highway 150 to Vine Street and Union Street, from Plum Street to Cherry Street, approximately 650 LF in the City of West Union, Iowa. Work will include new sanitary sewer main and service lines, new water main and service lines, new storm sewer intakes and pipe, crushed stone base, new PCC street surfacing (24’ b-b), new sidewalk, modular block retaining wall, surface restoration, and related work.

The City Council will meet at a meeting in said Council Chambers at 6:00 P.M. on February 17, 2025, to consider the plans and specifications, estimate of cost and proposed form of contract and to act upon the bid proposals and to consider entering into a contract for said improvements.

Any persons interested may appear at such meeting of the City Council for the purpose of making objections to the plans, specifications or contract or the cost of making the improvements.

This Notice is given by authority of the City of West Union.
