VINTON – Polls closed at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, for the 2024 General Election. For the next couple of hours, representatives from each precinct delivered the results to the courthouse and the dedicated staff in the Auditor's office compiled the results as they came in. The Absentee ballots were added last, after all other precincts reported. This year, that may have taken a bit longer than usual as early-voting was very popular in Benton County for this election. Monday, Nov. 4 was a record-breaking day in the Benton County Auditor's Office with 251 voters. 14,587 of the 18,734 Benton County registered voters cast a ballot in this General Election (77.86%).

With all precincts reporting, Haley Rippel, Benton County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, announced the Benton County unofficial results around 10:30 p.m. Results are unofficial until certified by the Benton County Board of Supervisors.

For President, 9,544 Benton County voters filled in the dot for Donald Trump, and 4,738 for Kamala Harris. Libertarian candidate Chase Oliver received 65 votes in Benton County, and WTP candidate Robert F. Kennedy received 101.
