Spring has sprung and summer will be fast approaching. With summer upon us many people are heading on vacations and many other activities; and as a result, the number of donations we receive goes down. The extreme shortage continues; and your help is needed to meet the demand. It is time to mark your calendar for the upcoming American Red Cross Blood Drive. The American Red Cross (ARC) is urging you to donate now to save lives. On Monday, April 28, the ARC will hold its spring blood drive at the First Presbyterian Church in Independence from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. As with previous blood drives, it is important that donors schedule an appointment in order to help manage the flow of donors; however, we do accept walk ins. To schedule an appointment at this time, or as the date gets closer, please download the Red Cross App, call 1-800-733-2767, or contact . As in the past, you can save up to 15 minutes at the blood drive by completing the RapidPass on-line the day of your donation at . It is easy to do. Give it a try.
The demand and need for blood is critical. If at all possible, please take (make) time to donate blood on Monday, April 28.
New donors, please give it a try. Our many loyal donors are very much appreciated; and we are counting on you again! You can donate every 56 days.
Please remember BLOOD DONORS MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
