The Hazleton Fire Association Easter Egg Hunt was held Saturday, April 19, at Hazleton City Park. Dozens of kids from PK through fifth grade turned out for the noon event.
Areas were roped off for various age groups and kids lined up at each mark, waiting for the fire whistle to signal and the hunt was on! Hundreds of small, foil-covered candy eggs gleamed in the sunlight across the park grounds making them easy targets for the scramble.
Hazleton Commercial Club and United Neighbors sponsored the event. Kids were invited to turn in their eggs after the hunt for a small monetary collection and then they could take their eggs home, as well.
The Hazleton Commercial Club posted a thank you to everyone who came out for the HFA Easter Egg Hunt.
“We had an amazing turnout, and it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and excited kiddos hunting for eggs. … We’re so lucky to have a community that shows up, celebrates together, and makes memories like these possible.â€
Hazleton City Park will be a hub of activity this coming Saturday, April 26, for May Day in the Park sponsored by The United Neighbors.
