This week Love Our Library was celebrated in Little Husky Learning Center and Wings Park Elementary. School librarian/instructor Melissa Franzen organized field trips for the classes during the week to provide fun and learning experiences while loving their library.

On Monday the preschoolers and JK students took a field trip to the Oelwein Public Library, and Tuesday the kindergarten students had their field trip. These students spent an hour at the library listening to stories and engaging in different activities that the library has for children.

On Friday, first through fourth grade students at Wings Park Elementary engaged in various reading/writing rotations during the morning. All students rotated through four different activities based on their grade levels. Activities include poetry writing for 4th graders, tongue twister writing for 3rd graders, comic creations for 2nd graders, and glow reading for 1st graders.
