GRINNELL - Three area track and field teams saw their indoor season end on Tuesday night at the WaMaC indoor meet in Grinnell.

Vinton-Shellsburg

In the girls 60-meter dash, Paige Clemensen had the best night for the Vikettes, coming in 15th place with a time of 8.79.

Colt Koeppen cracked the top-15 in the 200m, clocking a time of 25.64 for a 15th place finish.

In the girls 200, Clemensen took 10th place, crossing the line in 29.51.

The Vikings had a good showing in the 800, seeing both Lincoln Lamont and Conner Bridgewater set new personal records en route to seventh and 15th place finishes, respectively. The duo crossed the line in 2:14 and 2:18.

Alex Torres set a new season best time in the 1600, taking home the gold with a time of 4:29.

Leif Allen set a new PR in the high jump, taking sixth place with a height cleared of 6-00. Kade Sutton and Dallas Fairbanks both finished inside the top-15 with heights of 5-06 and 5-04, respectively. Those heights put them in 12th and 14th places.

Fairbanks set a new season best leap in the long jump with a distance of 19-00 to take 11th while Jose Coots took 10th in the girls long jump, leaping 14-10.5, a season best.

Colson Chvala took third in the shot put with a throw of 46-07. Aly Erickson took fourth in the girls shot put, throwing 35-06. Emerson Svobda set a new PR in the shot, throwing 29-02 for 12th place.

In the girls distance medley, Bunten, Coots, Roster and Primrose took fourth place with a time of 4:51 while the boys 4x800 team of Lamont, Bridgewater, Dickinson and Blais took second with a time of 9:03.

The boys 4x400 team of Fairbanks, Petersen, Koeppen and Torres set a new season best time en route to a fourth place finish, clocking a time of 3:40.56.

Team scores were not held at the event.

Benton

For the Bobcats, Alexis Sexton took 10th in the girls 60m, clocking a time of 8.59.

In the 60m-hurdles boys, Eli Patterson took sixth with a time of 9.17 while Evan Patterson set a new PR, good for 15th place and a time of 10.27. In the same event for the girls, Sophia Seeck placed sixth, crossing the line in 10.38 while Belle Werner took 13th place with a time of 10.79.

Owen Vaon Ahsen placed second in the 200, clocking a time of 23.45 while Gavin Brooks wasn’t far behind in fourth place, setting a new PR of 23.76. Avery Palmer also set a new PR in the same event for the girls, placing 22nd with a time of 30.51.

Von Ahsen also placed second in the 400 with a time of 52.78 while Jayden Beck set a new PR in the event, crossing the line in 55.97.

In the 1600, Jack Lange placed 10th with a new PR time of 5:10.

Eli Patterson won the high jump with a season best height cleared of 6-05.

The Bobcats had a good day in the shot put that saw Carter Holmes take fifth with a throw of 45-10 while Ana Glawe set a new PR with a throw of 38-00, good enough for first place.

Center Point-Urbana

For the Stormin’ Pointers, Addilyn Wade placed seventh in the 60m, running the event in 8.46 while in the boys 60m-hurdles, Donovan Crouchet placed 10th with a time of 9.46. In the hurdle event for the girls, Adelyn Stien took 10th with a time of 10.55.

In the boys 200, Cael Salow set a new PR en route to a ninth place finish, crossing the line in 24.86. Xavier Perez placed 11th in the same event, finishing with a time of 24.90.

Wade set a new PR in the girls 200, taking second place with a time of 27.96.

The boys 400 saw Noah Estling take third place with a new PR time of 55.34 and Crouchet wasn’t far behind in sixth place, clocking a time of 55.57.

Carter Easton and Landon Batcheler both set new PRs in the 800, finishing back-to-back in second and third places, respectively. The duo crossed the line in 2:04 and 2:11. For the girls in the same event, Sydney McCormick also set a new PR time of 2:36 en route to a fourth place finish.

Easton also set a new PR in the 1600, 4:39, which put him in fourth place.

Crouchet placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 6-00 while Emily Cue took third in the girls high jump, clearing 5-00.

Carter Andrews took third in the boys long jump, leaping 20-08.75 while in the shot put, Cohen Spurlock set a new PR with a throw of 41-06, good for 11th.

In the boys 4x800 relay, Estling, Batcheler, Baumgartel and Dreier took third with a time of 9:10 while the boys 4x400 team of Maloney, Estling, Grimm and Miller placed first, crossing the line in 3:31.

The boys 4x200 team of Andrews, Lopata, Maloney and Miller took second place in the event, clocking a time of 1:33.

The girls 4x400 team of Causey, Katcher, Bowe and Estling set a new WaMaC indoor record of 4;10 to take third place. First and second place in the event also set new indoor meet records.

The girls 4x800 team of Katcher, McCormick, Causey and Estling placed second, finishing with a time of 10:11.72.
