VINTON — The streaks continue for the the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikettes.
Streak one came Thursday night as the Vikes ran their winning streak to three with a 3-0-zip win over Celar Creek-Amana at the Karr Athletic Complex.
Streak two goes to freshman goalkeeper Rylee Boggess and her defensive wall for a fourth-straight shutout that includes their 0-0 drama with Marion two week prior.
The match was scoreless through the first half, but Payton Lefevere cured that in a hurry. The sophomore took aim from 30 yards out with at the 36:12 mark and sent one into the net to given the Vikettes a 1-0 lead.
Five minutes later, Camden Erhardt took off on a breakaway and scorer point-blank to make it 2-0. Molly Zearley would add an insurance goal (her sixth of the week) to bring the final count to 3-0.
Boggess was a wall once again catching everything that got her.
The Vikettes with join the Vikings for a doubleheader Thursday with Solon, beginning at 5 p.m.
